You log in to your website in different ways depending on whether you have a site under construction, a published site, or whether you are logging in to a website that has a directory path. Here you will find help identifying which method you need to use to log in, along with instructions on how to do so.
Start by looking at what your site address looks like. What type of site address does your website have? To see what different site addresses can look like, see our example below.
Examples of website addresses
- Published website: sam.lu.se
- Published website with directory address: sam.lu.se/en/internal
- Website under construction: sam.prodwebb8.se
- Website under construction with directory address: internal.en.sam.prodwebb8.se
The most common way to log in
The basic rule for logging in to your Drupal Website is:
- Enter ”/user” after the website URL, for example ”sam.lu.se/user”, and go to that website.
- Click on ”CAS Login” and then log in as usual using your regular Lucat Details.
Log in to a published site
To log in to a Published Site, add ”/user” to the end of the site address. Example: sam.lu.se/user .
Published site with directory address
If the website you want to log in to is, for example, an internal website or an English equivalent of another website, it usually has a so-called directory path.
To log in to a published site with a directory path, add ”/user” to the end of the directory path.
Example 1: sam.lu.se/internal/user
Example 2: sam.lu.se/en/user
Example 3: sam.lu.se/en/internal/user
Log in to a site under construction
If the website you want to log in to is under construction and not yet published, it has a so-called ”production site address” (prodwebb8). This is a temporary address that your website only has while it is being built before it is published.
To log in to a website with a temporary address, add "/user" at the end of the temporary web address.
Example: sam.prodwebb8.lu.se/user
Site under construction with directory paths
Please note that temporary directory paths differ from published directory paths. If the website you want to log in to is, for example, an internal website or an English equivalent for another website, it often has a so-called directory address. If it is not yet published, it also has a so-called "production site address” (prodwebb8), which is a temporary website address.
To log in to a published website with a directory address, add "/user" at the end of the temporary directory address.
Example 1: internal.sam.prodwebb8.se/user
Example 2: en.sam.prodwebb8.se/user
Example 3: internal.en.sam.prodwebb8.se/user
Log in correctly on a published site
Please note that it is important to log in via the "real" address as soon as the site is actually published. Issues have arisen, including incorrect image links for websites where users accidentally logged in incorrectly after the websites were published.
